Therapy dogs help lonely freshmen at Kent State

"It's become a popular break," Adamle said. "They make friends over the dogs. It can be overwhelming to be a student at a large university." The dogs have shown their value in a crisis, too. Once they were summoned to a dorm after a student had died in a car accident. Adamle convened some dogs and handlers and they visited the floor where the student lived.
