therapy dog work
What do therapy dogs do?
Therapy dogs work with people of all ages, providing comfort, companionship, distraction and motivation. Dogs in our community have worked with children in physical, occupational and speech therapy, with adults in hospitals and mental health facilities, and with seniors in nursing homes.
For some glimpses of therapy dogs in action see Kyler Laird's collection of therapy dog photos.
Dogs in our program currently visit University Place in West Lafayette. As we grow we will add sites. Please contact us if you would like to work with us to perform therapy visits at other locations.
